THE ART OF THE JOURNAL WITH JUDY WISE

Bainbridge Island, WA

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL

Join the Queen of Journaling, Judy Wise for a 3-day journaling workshop in the beautiful Wacky Nut Farm art studio on Bainbridge Island, March 14-16, 2022.

One of the many beautiful pages in Judy’s journal

The journal is so many things. Friend, confidant, generator of ideas, collector of artwork, of the written word, and a record of life’s destinations to look back on with pleasure.

Venue

The Wacky Nut Farm studio is the venue for this workshop. Located on Bainbridge Island, it is a 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle. Alternatively, you can drive up the peninsula. Situated on 20 acres, it is a beautiful horse farm.

Itinerary

Each day we will meet in the studio at 9:30 am, break for lunch (which will be provided) around 12:30 for an hour, then we will continue to work. Class will be over around 4-4:30 pm with dinners on your own.

On the first day, we will make new journals together and then continue with guided exercises in painting, collage, lettering, monoprinting, and stamp carving for the rest of our time together.

Judy will discuss composition, and building strength and confidence as an artist.

We will create page after page together that you can fill in with writing later.

On the last day, we will break around 2:30 pm to clean up and get ready for our show ‘n tell where artist will share their creations from this workshop. Class will be over at 3:30 pm.

Imagine how great it is going to feel, sitting with a group of artists creating and laughing again. We can’t wait!

Judy has the delightful habit of illustrating her wardrobe that she takes on a trip. It helps keep her organized, so she says……..

A page from Oaxaca

Journaling can be a life changer. It provides a roadmap of where you have been and a guide to where you dream of going. Writing and making art in its pages calms the spirit and fills the hours with pleasure.
